Learn excerpts from one of the most beloved works of modern dance! Join Ailey Arts In Education master teacher, Nasha Thomas, and experience the movement of Revelations with music by a live percussionist. Perfect for families to participate together.
This free, one-hour guided dance session takes place from 11 AM to 12 PM on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center. All experience levels are welcome. Attendance is free, but RSVP is required.
Nasha Thomas oversees AileyCamp, a summer dance camp for children ages 11-14, and designs the national outreach for Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs. As a primary liaison between AILEY and the national arts in education community, she plays a central role in working with local communities to develop and run AileyCamp in cities across the US. She danced with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater from 1986 to 1998. In 2020, Thomas helped kick off the 60th anniversary of Alvin Ailey’s iconic Revelations with a workshop streamed from the Rockefeller Center 620 Loft & Garden rooftop.
